Shoemakers since 1825, Clarks Originals started with humble beginnings in Somerset England. Little did James and Cyrus Clark know that those handcrafted slippers they made from sheepskin rug offcuts would kickstart a legacy which would generate 22,000 archive styles and counting.

Now a British footwear institution, everyone has a connection with Clarks Originals. It may have been around for over 200 years but these days the household name is making its countercultural comeback and it continues to move with the times, global culture and style with technologies and contemporary materials, all while still using a hand carved last for each shoe. Same last, different era.

Pretty much everyone has a connection with Clarks, it’s the finest case study in brand staying power. Just look at its Desert boots, a ‘50s hit which was cool then, now and always.
